CHAPTER 8 : His Prophets
As the parts of a jigsaw puzzle, which at first appear to be a hopeless jumble of odd pieces, fit into place one by one and emerge at last a beautiful picture startling in clarity and simplicity, thus knowledge has been given to me.

With faith as a starting point, love of truth the motivating desire, knowledge fits into place piece by piece, and one is filled with awe at the enormity of Eternal Mind's scope and purpose -- aghast to realize how far mankind has receded in spiritual awareness and achievement.

Fifteen thousand years ago, Deity was no stranger to humanity.

There was at this time a large land mass occupying much of the area now known to us as the Atlantic Ocean, and on this peninsula, today referred to as Atlantis, was a great city of learning.

These people knew the Master's ways and gladly followed His design for living. Through generations of training, their animal minds were in harmony with spirit. Long since had these people come to understand the workings of the fleshly instinct, the art of controlling the mind, and, through the mind, the animal body. Their lives were filled with joy and peace.

All senses were far more alert than today. We marvel at the keenness of the lower animal's hearing, sight, and smell -- the race of whom I speak had senses of equal acuity.

Life was one of mutual service, happiness, and health; thought transmission, mental telepathy, and spiritual healing were commonplace.

In this country were green hills and beautiful valleys, lush with natural growth and the crops cultivated by the people.

"There were giants on the earth in those days." Such a man was Loliad, my beloved guardian angel and teacher.

But as we have shown, The Master of Spirit does not command the elements. Deep below the Earth's crust the pot was boiling, and the pot just bubbled over, till the centre of Godliness, Atlantis, fell beneath the sea, and these giants were lost to posterity together with their culture and wisdom.

This was the greater tragedy in human history.

Only a few scattered remnants on the outer edges of the continent were saved. The Aztecs, who lived to the West of the original city, were a separate group, as were the peoples to the East.

The race to which I refer was the original chosen people; chosen by the Master to teach the rest of mankind of His wisdom and His love -- the Jews, the forbears of "Adam". To fulfil their destiny it will be necessary to change modern Jewish thinking drastically.

How He weeps for His beloved Israel to whom He promised, through Abraham "In thee shall all nations be blessed." Unto you was born His Son, to be a light, to lighten the Gentiles and to be the glory of His people.

Yahweh's Zion is not to be found on any map; it refers to the unity of spiritual purpose for all. Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah; all are One. The God of Abraham is Supreme Being, the Father of the Son.

This was Jesus' message, through Paul, when he said, "Men of Israel and ye that fear God, give audience. The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt. Men and brethren of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you that feareth God, to you is sent this word of salvation."

Circumcision is meaningless unless you love Him in your heart. Don't be wilful and stubborn; don't let a handful of self-seeking Pharisees who lived nearly two thousand years ago separate you from truth. Submit your pride to the test of the inner power.

He cries your name in anguish. How blessed art thou to God! Most particularly He stressed that this point be well brought out. Blush that a daughter of uncircumcision should be required to chastise. Ponder these matters in your heart. Repeatedly He has shown that He chides those from whom He requires the most. Do not lose sight of your all-important spiritual heritage in the race for materialism and nationalism.

Jesus' disciple, Matthew, records: "Have you not read that which was spoken unto you by God saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." (Matt. 22:32) Read His New Testament; Chapter Twenty-three in the Book of Matthew is a must.

No one asks you to be disloyal to Yahweh. Can you not see the agony you have created in the Mastermind, in that your sins, the sins of the fathers, continue to be visited upon the children. Repent, Oh Israel; humbly atone, I beseech you, not with mere verbal public acknowledgement; this is for men. Search in your hearts for Him and repent from the deepest depths therein. The concept of an eye for an eye is no more. The New Testament of your Prince demonstrates the next step in spiritual advancement; turn the other cheek and walk the second mile, even as this, His final Testament, proclaims the utmost in spiritual attainment on Earth.

To His earthbound children, from the time of Adam onward, the Master has sent guidance, has called forth His servants and used them to explain in terms of animal language His purpose for humanity. Teaching the spirit via the carnal preconscious has been no easy task. Each sound impulse that hits the carnal eardrum has to traverse the obstacle course of ego and error before being tucked away in the filing cabinet in a muddled fashion, having been rearranged to fit into a thousand prior associations. Criticism now reaching the mind will arouse instant protest from pride which will immediately insist it be filed under "dislike" in the preconscious. This perennial problem has been best overcome in the past by using parables as a form of interpretation (and misinterpretation.)

In loving all, spiritual knowledge has in no way been confined to one group or race. "God-Men" have been sent whenever and where-ever needed. Basically, the message never varies, yet man's inter-pretations vary so widely that often the original pure thought is entirely lost. As Buddha saw dancing girls under the lotus tree, (lusts of the flesh), so Christ's body cried out for bread (like- wise a fleshly requirement).

It is a grave mistake to confuse the servant with the Master. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God," has been their cry; never, "Love me." Man has created denominations in his inability to distinguish between the servant and the Master, the Son and the Father. God is Supreme.

Therefore, do not say among yourselves, "I am a Christian," "I am a Jew:" say, "My gratitude and love for Jesus Christ is boundless, in that He showed me the way to God," or, "I rejoice in the fact that Judaism had been my path to Eternity." Say, all of you, "I am a child of the Supreme Being, who reigneth over the Universe."

Having been raised in the protestant fashion makes this preconscious mind more readily able to interpret Deity in terms of what I personally, can most readily understand. Yet these ex- planations fit all faiths equally well. God's prophets are fighting carnal cruelties surrounding them, using every verbal means at their disposal to bring home His message of Love.

The Task of Moses.

After the great natural upheaval and destruction of Atlantis, the fight for survival rose, dominating mankind, bringing in its wake lust, greed, and atrocities, all of evolution's demands for protection of the species, survival of the strong.

Most of the great spiritual minds were lost. Degeneration set in, and grew progressively worse until, at the time of His first major prophet, Moses, man had dropped from grace to become almost entirely animal in outlook. Even His chosen race of teachers had fallen low, though they were still the most spiritually aware group on Earth.

Blessed are the Jews, the race chosen by God to show mankind the way.

Try to grasp, if you can, the enormity of the task before Moses; To present the incorruptible Mind of Spirit to his handful of corrupted, downtrodden followers.

Infinity saw earth as a Garden of Eden, where men walked freely with spirit and nature without aggression or oppression. The Jews had been worked mercilessly, like animals, seven days a week without rest or respite. Visualize the aching heart of the Creator, seeing His spiritual children so sorely burdened by the flesh.

Thus God arranged that Moses should receive education to fit him for leadership, and Moses did his best to interpret God's word in a way that the men of his day would understand and respect.

Moses understood the infinite spiritual qualities of God, but first he had to quell the lusting animal men around him. To this end he gave them Ten Commandments when there were but two: Love Me, and love one another.

It is pitiful to contemplate the fact that today mankind wallows in the mire of the same ignorance, trying to obey what he cannot comprehend.

Examine Moses' commandments in the light of understanding of his generation, illuminated in the light of truth as the Master now reveals it.

  1. Thou shalt have none other gods but Me. Consider the awful cruelties committed in the name of "other gods" when God is Love.
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thyself any graven image. Because anything material is opposed to Spirit, misleading.
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. Love Me as I love you, my children.
  4. Remember that thou keep Holy the sabbath day. One day a week I ask that you set aside from your quest for the material to contemplate spiritual matters. This will help you understand Me better, and benefit you a thousandfold.

Then Moses made his fatal error, all in an effort to command respect from his people. They could not hope to comprehend Spirit, but the supremacy of nature over man they understood well enough so, using parable-type explanation, Moses accredited to Spirit the creation of the Earth as a reason for keeping the sabbath. Certainly the Lord blessed the seventh day, in order that the Israelites might lay down their tools and feed their souls; cast off the animal and commune with Spirit.

  5. Honour thy father and thy mother. Follow their teachings; their mature wisdom. Spiritually guided parents are to be most revered for lighting the path for their children. By all means render them homage.
  6. Thou shalt not kill. Love each other.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Overcome carnal frailty.
  8. Thou shalt not steal. Do unto others as you would be done by.
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness. This will ensnarl your spirit and cripple your personality.
  10. Thou shalt not covet. Material wealth is spiritual poverty.

Moses' duty was to get mankind started once again on the uptrend. Man fails to recognize that these were initial steps to salvation. The Jews failed to recognize their King, the Prince of Heaven -- their preconceived ideas wanting to see God's earthly kingdom as a victorious, bloody battlefield, with themselves as the conquerors. Who are we to condemn? Do we see any differently today?

Material power and glory we understand well enough. Our little minds envision our own nation as "worthy" to conquer others. Fed as we are on propaganda, enhanced by sensationalistic journalism, designed to arouse the animal instincts -- fear for our possessions and suspicious of new ideas or ideologies.

Yet our churches condone blasphemy, a contempt of sacred things. At the birth of a child spirit is given, or if you prefer another phrase, the young animal is "christened" by the Master. Socially conscious, the parents submit to the customary ritual. "Godparents" are chosen, and a fine gown to clothe the baby is provided. Sacred vows are made -- before God or Man? Do parents actually expect godparents to keep their vows? Do they select godparents for their spiritual qualities? How far dare a Minister go in offending by insisting that these godparents perform their duties, or that suitable persons be chosen? How much support would he get from the heads of his church if he did offend?

Of all men the theologian should be the first to say: God loves one as he loves all, rites such as baptism, christening, circumcision, or pagan ceremonies alter a child not one mite in the eyes of an ever loving Father. Without sincerity any ceremony is blasphemous.

Denominational or national superiority is nonsense, Salvation is purely personal. The path to God is introspective, not external. Christ never taught otherwise. Certainly man can baptize with water, implant a caste mark, yet who but the Master can endow with the Holy Spirit? And who but man can think otherwise?

At the present time very few have an idea of what it means to be possessed of the Holy Ghost -- or His Grace or what it means to be free of carnal frailty, in atonement. Certainly not he who's "Desire" contains a personal prayer for bodily protection, whose petitions are suitable for Caesar. God is Spirit: ask Him for food for the spirit.

How can religion reconcile "The resurrection of the body" on one hand and, "Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust," on the other? Dust to dust: Yes! And spirit to Infinity! Religion has to be sane; rational. Chemical compounds will decay, disintegrate, under the law of nature. Were bodies capable of resurrection, they would also be incapable of destruction. This frail flesh we pamper is useful only as a training ground for virtue to fit spirit for its future task in a form of life more highly advanced than the carnal mind can ever hope to comprehend.

Spirit -- invisible, indivisible, imperishable, infinite -- everlasting life. Remorse is the "Hell fire" of purification each must pass through.

Spirit is nondenominational; without colour, creed, race, culture, earthly Language, or dogma.

Up until Jesus' time, the Master was best able to formulate His plan by using prophets suitable by virtue of having animal leadership qualities; otherwise the word would not have been spread and could not have been documented for posterity. Humanity had to be lead gently; gradually prepared to receive His final revelation, His plan for earthlings to live as He originally intended.

Jesus "sparrows" referred to the lowliest, to demonstrate that God is oblivious to raiment, quality of intellect, status, or earthly education. He sees naught but the shinning Aura emanating from man.

Who shall stand before Him and say "On Earth I was a King," or "I was a brilliant scientist;" "I was a lawyer, learned in all earthly matters?"

Spirit shall say, "Speak not of earthly matters, for earthly life has passed. Instead, let us discuss spiritual matters -- list, instead of your material achievements, your spiritual achievements. How well did you serve your fellow man? What did you sacrifice for the least of these that you can say you served Me also?"

(Diagram of An Aura Listing the positive/negative qualities)

Eternal life is a reality, not theoretical. Scoff all you will. Soon the day will come when you too are faced with Reality. How does your list add up? Which one among you can say how soon earthly matters shall slip away, the sands of time run out? Tomorrow is too late to start the reckoning, for with human frailty, tomorrow never comes.

The Master could have presented His Son as a mighty Roman emperor, had He so desired, or a physical giant, which would have demonstrated that God is materialistic. Jesus demonstrated only that God is Spirit, the opposite of material, the opposite of self-love, cynicism, and ego. The opponent of animal instinct.

Jesus said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and to God that which is God's -- temper your instincts to harmonize with Virtue. Just what wealth did Jesus store up while on this planet? What art treasures did He collect in the name of His Father? What wealth did He say would please God? Which embroidered garments? His own personal satan offered Him the choice of any material success; lust, exaltation, and glory in men's eyes. Our choice today is identical. Oh, that mankind would press on to spiritual wealth with the same ardor he has for the material! We fear that others will mock or deride us; that humility will bring scorn upon our heads.

There was another man such as this -- dynamic, highly intelligent, and most respected by his generation. An animal who, in misassociation, worshipped the idol of his own brilliance, who strutted like a peacock across the face of the earth, determined to raise his stature even higher in the eyes of his fellows by putting an end to all this 'nonsense' taught by Jesus Christ. He openly defied his God. Jesus, now ascended, saw in Saul an opportunity to make His final demonstration. The Spirit of Christ stopped Saul on the road to Damascus, and said, in effect: "This is as far as you go, my friend; about face, and I will flood your sorely tried spirit with the Light of Truth. One by one I will strip the scales of carnal error from your eyes, work through each mistake, bang away at the bricks imprisoning your inner power, and reveal to you your incarnate self, your true self." And Paul, blessed, blessed Saint Paul, the brilliant animal, seeing himself in the light of Truth, hit the very depths of humility and remorse in one fell swoop.

(Diagram of Three Auras)

To others it comes more gradually. "The bigger they come the harder they fall," is very true in this instance.

The blinding realization of his error poured forth from Paul in a stream of prose beautiful and meaningful beyond compare. His writings show his keen animal intelligence working under the direction of spirit. To read his letters is to understand the man who "died daily" in remorse for his mistakes.

Under the tender influence of Jesus Christ, many of the other disciples had become so accustomed to working with spirit that they failed to see the same clear definition between the mediocrity of the carnal and the sudden glorious realization of spiritual life on Earth.

So will it be with this generation: to some will come the blinding light of instant realization; to others, the less spectacular joys of daily discovery. But halt we must, for this is His chosen generation, and having understood His Law so shall ye be judged.

There will be no sudden flashes of lightning -- there will be no spectacle.

To the humble is given the story of Samuel's calling, best described by the Reverend J.D. Burns (in hymn Number 712) in the Protestant prayer book, who tells how, when all the pomp and ceremony was over at the temple and the High Priest had retired for the night, the lowliest, little Samuel was keeping watch. Innocently trusting, the childlike simplicity knew no barriers from God. His mother, Hannah, must have been a wise and wonderful woman; there was no maze of preconceived knowledge to dim the ear and blind the eye to God's call. Oh, that ye might become as Samuel, of lowly heart, of sweet unmurmuring faith. How sweetly it comes to such as he, how hard for the proud to pass through the needle's eye to heaven.

Jesus is our pattern: proud before man and humble before omnipotence; proud in the sure knowledge that the Father's will is being done to the best of one's ability; never proud of person; having awed adoration at the recognition of one's insignificance before the Creator.

In emphasizing Christianity, in no way do we wish to diminish the work of such as were chosen to enlighten the peoples of more ancient civilizations. All "religions" are the work of His Mind, taught in a manner most acceptable to the preconscious associations of the particular cultural group, and designed to meet their greatest needs. This fascinating subject showing how all paths lead to one summit is one I hope to deal with in a second book.
