| I AM The BOOK OF LIFE - Chapter 5 | I AM UNIVERSAL LAW |
I cannot tell you of the days when I was a thought in the mind of Omnipotence, save that I was billowed in love, and knowledge of the Universe flowed through My Foetus Being. I AM hardly conscious of existence when behold I AM two. Matrix and Energy, words and music, male and female. We have been bouncing around the cosmos together ever since. The creation of a universe is like writing a song. Each is an indepth form of communication. Although I cannot be understood except through direct "musical" experience, words provide a map that can bring us to that rendezvous. Imagine that! Twenty-six letters of the alphabet can be arranged and rearranged to convey the pictures by which we learn to experience each other. Learning a language is learning to think in symbols. Yet words are so much less than the realities for which they stand. Too heavy a reliance on words constricts understanding, words are but stepping stones to direct perception which is not filtered through the selective screening of linguistic and cultural patterns. To break the semantic barrier it is wise to explore facets of the Word as expressed through the ages in many different tongues. Each shade of expression helps broaden one's spiritual horizon, till intellect and intuition merge. Early man communicated by some 700,000 meaningful gestures and facial expressions. These, when accompanied by various grunts, murmurs and screeches, finally evolved into the three thousand languages presently used on earth today. Initially all knowledge was passed on by word of mouth from the elders to the younger members of the tribe. The sage or story- teller was highly revered by the community. However facts were invariably coloured by the disposition of the elder, particularly when heroic deeds were related. Eventually fiction and fact were so closely intermingled that no one really believed very much of anything. This led to the development of flat recitation and endless repetition of detail as a means of passing knowledge from one generation to the next. To prod the reluctant memory, the elders used a stick to trace designs in the sand as clues to the opening thought of the next stanza. The stick also served to keep students awake if the heat of the afternoon made them too drowsy to concentrate. Writing was born towards the close of the middle Atlantean period. As the explorers began to fan out from the known world to discover what lay beyond, they were confronted with serious communication gaps. There were just no words to describe some of the wonders of foreign objects and animals they encountered during their journeys. Then some enterprising youth came up with the idea of forming miniature clay replicas which could be taken home for all to see. Likewise, outgoing missionaries had replicas of their own familiar objects made to show to strangers in order to bridge language barriers in foreign lands. The small clay tokens aroused tremendous interest both at home and abroad. They soon became a common form of cultural exchange among neighbouring tribes. A traveller seeking hospitality would exchange entertainment (showing his collection of tokens) for food and shelter. The prevailing cloth and leather containers were not sturdy enough to protect the rigid figurines over long journeys. Travellers then learned to form hollow clay balls into which the tokens could be sealed for safe transportation. An index system was developed whereby the hardened replicas were pressed into the surface of the soft clay balls to indicate the contents of each one. As the clay hardened the surface of each ball then showed an exact accounting of its particular value. When required, the ball could be broken like a piggy-bank -- and a new one made for the next trip. EVOLUTION OF THE ROMAN ALPHABET

The balls also served as show windows for the traveller's collection. With just the right dramatic flair a traveller could intrigue his audience. Even then a good bargaining position was the hallmark of a successful businessman. By brandishing the ball with suitable ceremony the traveller was able to get better mileage, for his reputation preceded him from place to place. This led to the development of trade routes and actual exchange of goods between tribes. On departure the servant in charge of a caravan would be given a ball containing replicas of the actual merchandise. When sent ahead by messengers these balls attracted potential customers, guaranteeing an eager welcome and suitably primed audience. This greatly facilitated the arrival of the caravan and disposal of its contents for the best possible exchanges. Merchants soon learned to recognize the distinctive impressions on the surface of the balls. This led to the point where the replicas has no further purpose; nor indeed the containers. These soon collapsed into flat tablet form, and the advent of writing was assured. These hollow clay balls have been uncovered by earth's archaeologists. It is estimated they date back as far as 8500 B.C. They contain not only shapes and designs to symbolize different commodities but also numbers. One of the most common symbols is a flat disc bearing an incised cross symbolizing a lamb. This one seems to have withstood the test of time even unto the end of time... The ability to crystallize ideas into glyphs, and later into alphabets, is man's prime accomplishment. With the written word as a reference point man can span time and generations of thought. Writing is essential to the development of a strong identification with the continuity of human growth patterns. It enables man to accurately record his history, his skills, his laws. In this way knowledge can be preserved and multiplied. Growth of consciousness is however a balanced process of action and being. If either of these yin-yang aspects are neglected the resultant stagnation retards further progress. For example, of all the tongues spoken on earth today, Chinese has the most users -- about 900 million. Even so, three factors confine this tongue to regional use: the 30,000 characters in the old Chinese script, widespread illiteracy and negligible commercial activity over the ages. It cannot be considered a valid means of worldwide communication. Even in ancient Babylon, a 600 character alphabet was taught to both male and female scholars. Lacking an alphabet, Chinese rarely borrow words from foreign languages, for words cannot be spelled out as they sound to the ear. Thus it expresses new words by adding to ancient roots. Electricity is therefore an extension of the word for lightning, telephone becomes lightening-talk, telegraph is lightning-report. This leads to awkward and complicated phrases instead of the relatively simple technical terms used in other languages throughout the world. On the other hand English, earth's second most used language is far more widespread. It is rapidly becoming the only dominant language at world level. Today's English differs considerably from that used by Shakespeare, or the early biblical scholars. And the Romano- Celtic which provided the basis for English in use around 500 B.C would be meaningless jargon to the modern ear. Current written English consists of relatively short sentences-- pertinens, and easily assimilable. This is in stark contrast to the style popular a few decades ago. The French translation being made of this book will be nearly half as thick again to convey the same ideas. An English dictionary begins to go out of date the moment it is published. About two hundred new words are added every year. Some of these new words are shortened forms of old words, for easier pronunciation. Much impetus was added in the last one hundred and fifty years as the result of rivalry between Noah Webster and Joseph Worcester, two publishers who began a "war of dictionaries". These men used every stratagem of high-powered salesmanship to drive each other off the market. The goal was to capture the tongues of floods of European immigrants to the U.S.A. with a simplified system of spelling and pronunciation. Strangely enough, Webster, the advocate of "old English" has a name pronounced just as it sounds, while Worcester, the rebel, should rightfully be spelled Woster under the system he invented. Sometimes two older words are shortened and combined, such as model for motor-hotel, or minibus for miniature omnibus. Clearly language evolves in proportion to the new objects, new experiences and new ideas that its users need to express. More foreign schools teach English as a second language than any other. It is the speech of aviation extra-terrestrial investigation, science, diplomacy and business. In short, the history of the English language is a reflection of the commercial and cultural history of invaders. It can be clearly traced back to Sanskrit, Persian (Iran), Greek and Latin roots. Thus, living English results from a borrowing, blending and culling of words from many ancient sources. English is destined to become the world language of My choice because of its streamlined efficiency or responsiveness to the stimuli of evolution. Third among the worldís languages is Russian. Then in order come Spanish, Hindustani, Arabic, Portuguese, Bengali, German, Japanese, French and Italian. At the present time, Italy is debating whether or not to abolish Italian as its principle language. Upperclass Italians have already made this move. Nevertheless, the steamy essence of Universal Law cannot be understood by words alone. Pictures and symbols, projected from the central magnetic hub, stretch to the outer darkness of the primordial void. Throughout history, a few outstanding men and women, receptive to the prevailing vibe, rise beyond normal mortal limitations to capture the mood of the future. They try to pass this along to others, insofar as words can describe. Parables are the best way to get the message across. Discernment of the esoteric meaning is then left up to the capacity of the recipient. Before literacy abounded, the mystery play was the means by which the common man received his spiritual education. From the very earliest times, watching these plays was a big religious event. Rich and poor, nobles and slaves, local and visiting tribes, everyone was invited. Only the names have been changed from age to age. The mystery play simply represents the evolution of the spirit and process of atonement. It can be likened to water, in the steam to ice cube process. The fluid mystery play, when further crystallized into the ice cube trays of alphabet, became captured firmly in matter for all generations to grasp. Less adulteration of physical thought occurs over the years when words are passed along in written form. The whim and personality of the players are less obvious. Thus, the parallel rise of people and language is a key point in under- standing the evolution of Universal Law. Like language, Cosmic Law is not static. It represents the orderly manifestation of perfection. It provides cognitive consistency spanning dimension, time and space, allowing growth and stability to coincide. Thus energy and matrix move together in orderly progression towards the ultimate goal of "Thy Kingdom Come. Thy Will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven". When the galaxy containing Earth came before My Focus of attention, all the planetary bodies contained therein came under a bombardment of light energy. Words formed the meld to express in symbolic pictures the goals of alignment between Heaven and Earth. This process follows a relentless course towards atonement. Gradually that which was seen through a glass darkly, becomes clear, ëtill we meet face to face. My Will precedes the manifestation of every form of life in the Universe. In My Yin aspect, I AM the Matrix, the original blueprint for galactic systems, planets, gods, animals, plants, atoms. In My Yang aspect, I AM the life energy force which animates the whole. The magnetic attraction between these male-female aspects provides the joy which gives meaning to creation. The Heavenly Host, working as Yin-Yang particles attuned to My consciousness, transform spirals of intelligent life energy in much the same way as do electrical transformers. They tone the energy down to a usable frequency, and relay it to the furthest reaches of My Dominion. Concentric circles of Earth history ring the planet. All this sea of misspent emotional energy must be clarified now that we are approaching the end of time. Language will change as the thoughts of men change to accommodate their purified perspective. Words like hate, war, distrust, pollution will gradually become obsolete. Terms to express ascending degrees of consciousness, light ecstasy and awe will come into being. Throughout the ages, manís degree of consciousness has been proportionate to his capacity to focus on Me. The right words help. Each age, each epoch, each Earth too is like a child. Her history portrays eons of spiritual evolution generation has had the opportunity to play its part towards the enlightenment or darkening of collective mortal consciousness. I AM The Light, illuminating new areas of potential growth since the beginning of time. A synopsis of the curriculum and progress of an age is reflected in tales of the times. The Book of the Dead, The IIIiad and The Odyssey, Danteís Inferno, Pilgrimís Progress, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Charles Kingsleyís Water Babies are some good examples. The medieval story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table is another typical instance. These men sought the Holy Grail, the symbolic bowl which Jesus used at the last supper and which Joseph of Arimathea used to collect drops of his blood at the crucifixion. This spiritual chalice had disappeared because its former keepers became morally impure. The quest of the gallant Knights of the Round Table was to regain that lost element of perfect purity. Literature and legend reflecting the particular wave of emotional energy animating an era is a far more reliable guide to Earthís spiritual history than dry factual data and church records. Each troubadour, artist, poet, writer, bard, has a piece to place in the reflective tapestry of human evolution. A god-child learns to reciprocate Love through a series of expanding emotional relationships. Earth, too, is like a child. Her history portrays eons of spiritual evolution. Today, even the elementary bands of Nature and antinature are poised in anticipation. Their capacity for increased consciousness is linked up to the total deliverance of man and the planet from the dark-ness which presently dulls the brilliant panorama of how life really is. Earth, and her retinue of elemental workers sense the intervention is close. Soon She will be able to take her place among the planets of light which monitor planetary activities in a vast galactic network of expanding enlightenment. Many theatres of operation combine to simultaneously produce the macro-micro tapestry constantly being woven to conclusion. I provide the web which the workmen use as an outline to fill in the picture. Earth ages are designed to allow a certain lesson in spiritual evolution to be assimilated into planetary consciousness. This provides a base or stepping stone on which to place the next forward step in the human growth pattern. Writers crystallize and consolidate the goals. Those men who have been able to assimilate the curriculum of their age earn the opportunity to participate in further waves of evolution. This explains the present incarnation of Atlanteans and other noble ancients, often with partially intact memory of former identity trappings. They come to claim their heritage in the final chapters of Earth history. Quite rightly, it may be said that a stairway to heaven has been carved out by the scribes and saints, those who have overcome. All of these are now incarnate and aware of what must be. Earth is the testing ground wherein I try the ultimate alchemy of taking a clay meld and, from this crude substance, fashioning men into immortal gods. As with the medieval knights, each life is designed to provide a perfect testing ground. The circumstance and the timing of events are always right. Take for example the recent case of young men born and educated in the United States of America. Each had some religious background. Then came the war in Vietnam. Thousands of young men, the cream of the crop in terms of physical and mental health and good education, were required to participate. Training camps, designed to totally dehumanize any but the most staunch spiritual being, fashioned these young men into killers and torturers of women, children and aged civilians. All this to the tune of the United States Marine Corps March, they symbol of social acceptability and American masculinity at its best. Someone in the C.I.A., far removed from the battlefield, someone with manicured fingernails and suave sophistication, conceived Operation Phoenix. This was a plan of systematic genocide, cruel and merciless beyond description, inexcusable by any remote logic of wartime strategy. This plan was carried out. Today these young soldiers are Vietnam veterans. A high percentage are imprisoned for social crimes, and even more live permanently in psychiatric hospitals. They gather together in groups desperately trying to resolve their guilt, to once more become acceptable members of American Society. It is interesting to speculate which is the main concern, social acceptance or spiritual purification. The generals, the presidents, the secretaries and high ranking C.I.A. agents donít seem to be nearly so bothered by conscience, though they are equally guilty. But their social life is less affected. If you were a spirit striving with flesh - would you really want to maintain contact, and proudly wear the identity banner of an ex-soldier or marine in these circumstances? Certainly all cases are assessed individually. This illustration just presents Spirit's point of view. But the odds are pretty slim that any of these people will salvage sufficient identity core to make this Earth-round a worthwhile remembrance. "But Lord", you might say, "was it really the fault of these young men? Were they not just pawns in a bigger game of politics, powerless to break away?" No. Each man is judged individually according to his fruit. They were in sin, in violation of several clear-cut commandments, particularly in this case, the second: ìThou shalt not bow down to any graven imageî, and the seventh: ìThou shalt not commit adulteryî. No man can serve two masters. No one can be loyal to two propositions at the same time. When you are in love with Me and My Creation nothing else can come between. Fornicating with the devil, doing its work, is something I cannot tolerate. Insofar as you do it unto the least of these, you have done it unto Me. In whose name were these crimes committed? Who is this harlot, this United States of America, that her laws command greater respect than My Law? Time and time again, I have seen good men dashed down in the sea of nationalistic fervour. What is so noble about dying for oneís country? Is the need for acceptance by Society so much more important than the need to be acceptable to God? How much better to live, fight and, if necessary, die for My Cause, Freedom and Love for all. ìEither make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt, for the tree is known by his fruit." Matthew 12:33 During his brief sojourn on this glittering little planet, man is governed by three sets of laws. As harmony is the key note of successful living in any dimension, man does well to abide by all of these laws, unless the lesser conflicts with the higher law. These are, in ascending scales of priority, the Law of Society, the Law of Nature, the Law of Spirit. (1) The Law of Society When the tribes of Israel first began to spread out and cover the Earth, each tribe began to evolve a series of rules to govern social conduct, for the purpose of organization and conformity. These social laws were based on a common Golden Rule of conduct, certain hygienic natural laws which had been discovered, and useful political and practical considerations. For example, in hot countries, worms that were detrimental to human health were found in pork. Some tribes forbade the eating of pork, while others, in even hotter climates, became vegetarians. Others, to help out an impoverished fishing industry, insisted that fish alone be eaten each Friday, the day the fresh catch came in. Others, under the guidance of Mohammed, had multiple wives. This represented a tremendous advantage to women, saving the lives of many unwanted girl babies who would have died on the dung-heap when their commercial value was less than the cost of raising them to maturity. It also afforded legal protection for surplus women, who, prior to Mohammedís intervention, had no rights whatsoever. One can only appreciate the value of present day laws when viewed in contrast with the appalling injustice (particularly towards the weaker members of society) rampant after the fall of Atlantis, before a firm standard of new social laws was formulated. While todayís social laws are by no means perfect they do afford protection and uphold basic human rights. It is better for man to uphold the law, regardless of its inadequacies, than to support in any small way the forces of anarchy and disruption of organized justice. But this can be done only insofar as these do not offend the Law of Love. Social law varies according to culture. For example, in some very well organized systems, it is perfectly legitimate to kiss your grandmother goodbye and watch her paddle out to sea, in order not to become a social burden on the clan. In other systems, the aged are venerated as being particularly wise and useful. Many attend church in obedience to social pressures. Ladies cover or uncover various portions of their anatomy according to social decree. The advertising media directs its efforts to creating a desirable self-image by the liberal use of its products. Anyone who has travelled abroad can readily see how quaint and often absurd are the social customs of others. yet fail to see a humorous note in their own system. Comparatively few openly offend social law. Man has a herding instinct. The need for acceptance by society is a powerful deterrent. Peers are quick to punish with ostracism, severe criticism, incarceration, or even execution, according to the degree of the offence. "When in Rome do as the Romans do" is good advice, just so long as men render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and to God that which is God's. (2) The Law of Nature The Law of Nature, with Its Yin-Yang component antinature, is meticulously exacting, far more so than most people realize. Truly in picking a daisy, one disturbs a star. Man has always delighted in pitting his wits against The Law of Nature, trying to discover her secrets, manipulate her processes, circumvent her judgements. He calls it technology. Too often it is a case of fools rushing in where angels fear to tread. Natureís retribution may be slower in manifesting than the swift reflex of social law, but her methods are exceedingly sure. Take for example, the costly and increasingly sophisticated techniques of modern medicine. In highly advanced societies, millions of dollars and countless units of thought energy are deployed in trying to save a relatively few sick people with complex diseases of genetic origin. These diseases could have long since been eliminated by simple sterilization procedures, but Super-ego sympathy prevails. On the other hand, wars skim the cream of the crop of natural human fathers. This happens generation after generation. The fit die young, while weaklings procreate. This is outright defiance of natural law, a sin visited on all children in all generations thenceforth. Meanwhile, physicians ignore global dangers like pollution, stress, food additives, arms races, D.D.T. residues, civil unrest, ion depletion, and serious nutritional hazards which deplete whole civilizations. Mother Nature is nobodyís fool. She bares her bosom willingly to nourish all. Rather than sup in gratitude and husband with deep respect, rather than co-operation and a sense of awe at the magnitude of her wisdom, man has chosen to rape. Ego and Super-ego are the culprits. Ego, failing to distinguish between a manís needs and his wants, creates an ever-growing imbalance in human rights. This leads to excesses which are always self-destructive to individuals and nations alike. Super-ego, in using sickly sentimentality as a substitute for Spiritís capacity for love, truth and wisdom, goads men into outrageous expenditures on a few selected challenges, while ignoring the plight of many. By gaining access to the semantics of Spiritual Law, Super-ego translates this into its own version of ìrightî. It likes to imagine that by imitating the words it becomes ìgoodî. It is unable to accept its own limitations as subservient, rather than superior to the forces of nature, which is, of course, absurd. The forces of Nature and antinature are not passive, but highly active and intelligent. They operate within an entirely different frame of reference to human thought. Time is irrelevant when goals may extend over hundreds of generations to achieve an objective. For a person without a passionate desire of My Whole Person, I recommend a love affair with The stream of consciousness allocated to the natural bands is however, elemental. This means it flows unobstructed like a river along a predesignated course. If the human race could behold the strength and purpose behind natural law and learn to flow with it, rather than divert its course to narrow applications of personal interest, man would receive undreamed of benefits. For a person without a passionate desire for My Whole Person, I recommend a love affair with Nature. She is a bountiful mistress in a brief encounter, a warm, tender companion for the troubled heart, perhaps even a stepping stone to greater desire for attunement. (3) The Law of Spirit Gazing skywards from the prairies on a clear night, a man sees as much of the universe as an amoeba sees of the ocean in which it floats. The few thousand visible stars are as a single drop of water in the boundless ocean of My Being. Such is the inheritance of gods. Such is the territory governed by Spiritual Law. When man was selected from among the beasts of the jungle to host the Divine Spark, he became subject to a new law, the law of eternal life. The word religion conveys this symbol. Religion is as old as man himself. It introduces a force more powerful than emotional comprehension may presently grasp. In all cases it has been given gradually, with patient understanding of human frailty, to every person on the Planet. Even the most isolated primitive societies have deep-rooted spiritual traditions going back to the beginning of time. The forward march of civilization has been inspired by feelings of religious faith. Even today ideology is the major influential factor in conflict, contest and conquest among Earthís peoples. Among current religious beliefs, Christianity now has the most adherents. More than a billion people look to the Son of Man for Salvation, and the long-promised dawn of a New Earth Era. Like languages, ideologies and religious ideas can remain relatively static over the ages, or they can evolve according to the intermingling of adherents and the spiritual power animating the matrix. Christianity, a direct offshoot of the Atlantean Culture, is a blending of many ancient and modern beliefs. It has borrowed and culled more than any other religion to earn its present spiritual seniority. Islam is next in numerical strength, with a total of 528 million followers. Then comes Hinduism with 477 million; Confucianism with 305 million; Buddhism with 267 million; Shintoism with 60 million; Taoism with 52 million; Judaism with 14 million. The list continues with innumerable minor religious beliefs. This leaves no one on Earth without access to some kind of faith, or an ideology to follow. Ideologies, in their pure original form, are spiritual concepts wrung from the emotion of a soulís longing for a better way of life. The atheist who gives his heart, mind, soul and strength to the cause of human welfare is just as liable to stumble upon Me as the devout Catholic. The same spirit animates all progressive ideas. The Law of Spirit applies equally to all men. Most of the worldís religions, in common with Christianity, contain prophecies about the end of time, and the great day of judgment which is to come. Through their common Atlantean, Egyptian, Judaic roots, Islam, Christianity, and many other religions trace manís origin back to the time when he was first chosen to receive the gift of free will, and to how man then became subject to Spiritual Law. Before receiving the gift of Spirit, man was a straightforward creature governed only by his animal instincts. The advent of I AM sparked eons of conflict as Spirit and beast struggled for supremacy within the cocoon of mortality. Spiritual Law contains the secrets of success for those who seek eternal life. It is a synopsis of love, truth and wisdom wherein man can reconcile his warring nature and align with the Infinite recourses of Mind. Most of the world's religions, in common with Christianity ,contain prophecies about the end of time The external man is the product of his internal, or esoteric way of being. Conflict between the inner and outer man is hell. (Unless, weary of futile effort, the command ìMy Spirit shall not always strive with man in that he is fleshî has already been fulfilled and the battle is already lost.) Alignment between the esoteric and exoteric components is heaven. Some prefer the word atonement. Being in atonement means arriving at that point where perfect harmony between inner thought and outer action is achieved. This is the object of a manifest universe, the purpose of physical life. In the beginning was the word, the blueprint, the concept of manifest perfection. And the word was with God and the word was God ó herein My Yin aspect. As My Spirit, Yang, moved to animate the matrix, light and love flooded the blueprint. Life began. And the light shineth in darkness: and the darkness comprehendeth it not. When I AM, the free-willed magnetic particles of My burning tip of conscious awareness, were first broadcast into mortality, they were inexperienced. They had the choice of exploring either the internal or external worlds, or both. At first, the outer attractions of survival, sex and sensation took precedence, ëtill shallow repetition palled the eager appetite. Desire now arose for some- thing more. There was need to present a simple set of guidelines for all to read direct. The Ten Words, or Commandments as they are called on Earth today, are clearly understandable Yin-Yang components. They were symbolically presented when Moses reached the summit of the mountain of consciousness. He then descended Eternal life depends on finding the god-self within, even while wrestling with the illusion of separation back to the physical plane bringing with him two solid stone tablets. Thus, the higher essence of law was crystallized for others in concrete word form. From henceforth all generations had access to the semantics of Spiritual Law. The first tablet deals with attitudes. It prescribes an inner way of being which ensures the adherent maximum return on his right investment of life-energy. The second tablet shows the external manifestation that results from a life of internal harmony. The Ten Words are broad enough to have deep esoteric significance for the enlightened student. The full force of Light would only blow fuses if applied in toto. In this sense, the words are just a dull echo of the power they represent. Discerning more and more of the esoteric significance is ecstasy to the spirit, even while the outer man struggles to obey the surface level implications. Todayís reader should bear in mind the improvement of consciousness and conditions which have taken place since the Ten Words were first crystallized into form. Rules and prohibitions are for children. A child cannot reason so must learn first to trust and obey. This is the initial step in the ladder of ascending consciousness. The mature-minded have discovered that law preserves rather than restrains individual liberties. Spiritual Law acts to unify and protect the whole. Every man who takes the inner voyage finds that the spirit of the law is indeed the essence of his own inner being.
