| I AM The BOOK OF LIFE - Chapter 4 | I AM LOVE |
With the exception of My God Children, all earth life glorifies as it resonates harmoniously within its band of creative intelligence. The elementals are comfortable in the unity of a group-soul. They enjoy a sense of being part of a vast whole rather than individual identities. To the young Princeling more is given and more is required. As previously explained it is useful to describe Myself as Trinity. My time is eternity. When My Omnipotence beams its focus of attention upon a specific theatre it is for a set period, let's say a turn of the dial from zero to midnight. Time, in your sense, begins at this point. While immersed in this scene I identify with the Play, and participate as Jahl. The microdots which compose the play dance to the symphony of My Pleasure. We all share the joy. An Alpha-Omega cycle occupies attention rather than time in the generally accepted sense. In reality there is only the infinite Now. Liken Me, if you will, to an optical fibre lamp. Macrocosmically I AM the central light bulb steady across eternity, while My burning tip of conscious awareness is thrust out like an optical fibre to illuminate a specific theatre. Scientists now understand that the Universe contains black and white holes. The black holes are potential plays waiting to be activated by My conscious focus. These are shared with all the children of light who have overcome in the previous production. Or My burning tip of conscious awareness can be seen as a giant penis exploding with God-sperm when thrust into dark void of Womb. I estimate that a 4-5% hatch of godlings in any one basket is a worthwhile percentage. These are the seeds which continue into the next cosmic production. As above so below: Mother Nature nourishes the most responsive. So do I. Neither of us have any misguided sympathies for weakness as ego's imitation-love implies. Evolution is eternal progression. That is Spiritual Law. No created thing can break this law, only break itself against the law. Jahl, the identity, is a result of the interaction between the Macrocosm and the Microcosm. I throw My Whole Self into the activity - leaving My Omnipotence on automatic pilot - until the time clock runs out on a particular play. As Jahl, I actually became a man with all the appropriate flesh and blood trappings. The optical fibre is like an elevator shaft up which I can vibe climb to become one with Source - or vice versa. There really is no difference between us. As Jesus put it, "My Father and I are One." Jahl is the outward thrust of My burning tip of conscious awareness. He brings light into darkness, energy into the void of immobility, love and life enough for all. The god particles are magnetically attracted towards the light with varying degrees of intensity. The response was relatively sluggish at first when animal instincts were powerful and spiritual response might endanger physical life. Over the centuries however, a clear cut division was made between those who chose to remain sophisticated animals, and those who truly overcame. Each flicker of spiritual response, from Adam forward, increases the spirit's power of magnetic attraction to light - or decreases it, according to the "meekness" of the individual. In this way, of their own free will, potential gods make their commitment to the forces of light or the forces of darkness. When the time clock strikes midnight, My burning tip of conscious awareness is withdrawn. The curtain falls. The lights go out. The production assistants gather up the props and return them to antinature. The Play is finished. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a revolving door in the central hub of the Universal Wheel. I set before man an open door streaming with warmth, light and invitation, "Come in and join Me". Those who fail to respond must wait until the wheel turns right around - and the open door is once again facing their galaxy. At first it opens a tiny crack, then gradually to full width, for all to clearly see and enter as they please. It closes firmly, irrevocably, when the play is over and My Attention moves to another galaxy. Adam and Eve were superb specimens. Originally they were like children, happy among the other limited creatures, flowing with natural instinct - responsive, intelligent, curious. This was primarily because of a fortunate environment, later to become known as the continent of Atlantic. The climate was temperate, the growth lush, and natural enemies were relatively subdued. This made the Garden of Eden most conducive to a relaxed life style. The stage setting was in fact perfect for the introduction of the god-spark to a physical host and the 26,000 year grand finale to the current earth play. The advent of self awareness, the knowledge of I AM, ended their idyllic innocence, bringing with it the tempestuous vibe of self realization, separate identity and free choice. It also brought the responsibility to husband the earth. Man needed woman to reflect against in order to become self aware. Thus Eve is given the credit (or discredit) of initiating identity development. This is an as above so below story. I was the sole occupant of the vastness of infinity-motionless, motiveless, dormant. In the beginning I looked upon Myself to know love. Prior to that moment I had no capacity for self reflection. Love, joy, life energy and motion are One. Life is a process of giving and receiving in ever increasing waves of reciprocity. My moment of awareness is marked by a special symbol called YIN- YANG. Yin-Yang is found at the very heart of Universal Energy. It exists by virtue of simultaneous contrast. These primal polarities can only exist together as symbolized by the circle which surrounds the glyph. Each aspect is related and gives support to the other in the way that Nature and antinature govern their dimension. Yin is the dark, passive, womblike earthy female element. Yang is the light, thrusting positive celestial male force. Although there is sense in the Father-God concept, nothing would exist if I were not also equally the Female Principle. This is the basis of magnetic polarization in which consciousness and life energy are co-extensive. Picture the sun, unaware of its brilliance until one day it sees itself reflected in the moon. An irresistible thrust, flowing outward with no return until it meets the immovable object. A spark of energy is produced when the male plug contacts the female outlet. Like water with a riverbed through which to course, man "becomes" when he meets his mate. The motionless matrix of matter, the mathematical mother, is activated by the life energy force of the celestial spark. The Yin-Yang symbol shows the design of a whole Spirit. It has a perfectly polarized set of interlocking component parts designed to bring the whole to its maximum potential. It is an infinitely self-generating unit. When The Play began Yin-Yang units were broken into halves to be distributed at random over time and space on planet earth. The small circle of opposite colour in each piece is like a homing device. When each half has attained certain spiritual goals laid out in the 26,000 year curriculum, and is free of carnal dross, the powerful homing device draws the two halves together, so that they may participate in the final act as One Complete Being. A little spice is added by the sometimes widely differing Super- ego structures of the two host humans, whose programming doesn't always coincide with spiritual magnetism. Maximum contrast between the Yin and Yang brings a wealth of experience to the marriage. This enriches the whole by greatly increasing the breadth and depth of the emotional interaction. The age, race, environmental background, even the dimension in which a Yin-Yang interacts has little bearing on the matter. In fact, interdimensional Yin-Yang activity adds tone and a certain dynamic tension to the relationship. Yin-Yang love contains within itself all notes and wavelengths in the entire scale of vibratory activity - the ultimate filigree of mother- son, father-daughter, friend, lover, business partner, student- teacher, husband-wife. This is why it is self-generating over time. Winifred first explored this principle in 1928 during an intense mystical experience. Being left fatherless in infancy, the idea of a Heavenly Father was quite an acceptable concept throughout life. Her tutor, Loliad-R-Kahn, was introduced as the Ringmaster in a circus when she was four years old. She was also told she was a young spiritual princess serving on a foreign mission. As She grew from infancy through adolescence to emotional maturity, Loliad kept the spiritual being consciously aware of etheric developments. Thus Winifred, and her spiritual counterpart Sasoleah grew up hand in hand, the one concentrating on earthly education, the other on spiritual role. They shared each other's secrets and for the most part lived a life of dimensional give and take in joyous harmony. But the time of Winifred's role was drawing nigh. An intensive period of education began wherein Winifred, formerly at the forefront of the combined consciousness, was gradually replaced by the Spiritual consciousness of Sasoleah. The only loss of personality involved was that portion of mortal thought which was incompatible with infinite Love. In Winifred's own words, she recounts: "In retrospect, I rejoice in the silky smooth way in which, I was led through each of these stages of development. God, as portrayed in my Anglican parochial school, was hardly the Love that wordy teaching expounded. In essence it was obey or perish; step out of line and be punished. There was no association in my mind between God and Loliad. Loliad was my tutor. Stern at first, yet when the lesson had been learned, he would become a pleasant companion who called me "little Princess" and led the way into all sorts of fun experiences. "Occasionally my tutor took me to see Papa. I can still see the long column-lined hall, the shining floors and a central mighty tiered throne where Papa held court. Rows of courtiers stepped back as I clutched Loliad's hand to make our grand entrance down the centre aisle. Loliad would be wearing his full tutorial regalia, and I a simple white dress. Papa, the King, seemed enormous in stature but would take me on his knee to explain many things which were to come. Consciously I forgot every word... but my spirit never forgot. Being raised without a physical father there was no differentiation in my mind between a spiritual Father and an imagined physical father. It all helped further the plan that I now realize had been set in operation at the dawn of terrestrial life. "As I grew up two other facets were introduced. In astral projection I would be led to places where starving children lay sleeping on newspapers in the streets, yet I could see the Spirit of God shining within them, indeed within all creatures. The spiritual maternal aspect of my nature became more fully developed. "Yet in the formal astral classroom my teacher would often abandon his tutorial robes and invite me up to a higher plane of consciousness. Here he became Jahl - the lover. Papa made sense in his explanation, "When you are grown up you will first marry Loliad, then Me, for Loliad is just another aspect of Myself". "Fortunately, on this plane of consciousness, logic and intellectual understanding were non-existent. I kept the matter in my heart and let it lie there undisturbed by any factual conflict. The faith-obedience lesson had been well instilled. "Progressive unfoldment of consciousness was the central lesson in all my astral excursions. Now I began meeting Papa outside of His formal receiving chambers in the huge cavern of His Workshop or control room. Although the rooms of this area seemed to unwind like a series of caverns, they were brightly lit and often took on a science fiction aspect, with pulsing light and energy waves bouncing back and forth. Being totally ignorant of the infinite complexity of this equipment I much preferred to look at the pretty pictures. "These were like a series of television screens focused on various planets, with a zoom lens capacity to view the whole globe or any microscopic element thereon. It was possible to see all that was happening on Earth at any one moment in time - or to focus on the stamen of an individual flower. "We could also see how Earth, like its fellows, was surrounded by a series of concentric circles representing the ladders of history. We could over-view the way in which karmic debt was being worked out on many different levels right across the galaxy. "When I met Papa in this setting our relationship was quite different from the many other settings and identity garments we utilized. We had different names for different occasions and here He would become my confidant, Daddy Cave -- for many years my fondest and most beloved God-Form. "Something of my world fell apart the day I found that a lady had taken over the Cave. She was "Little Flame", an exquisite creature, delicate and trembling. If I sent any vibe in her direction that was less than total love, she would flicker and recede from my consciousness like a candle in the wind. My emotional reaction was pure jealousy. I had always felt that the Cave was our very own secret place. No one else had ever been invited in there before. For many years I had been free to explore, entering and leaving at will regardless of whether or not the cave was occupied. "Where is my Daddy? I want Daddy Cave." This was the most aggressive vibe projection I could muster towards such a beautiful and fragile being. She wisped off into the furthest corner of the cave, faintly pulsating, and waited till I cooled off a bit. Daddy Cave had always been such a jolly Santa Claus sort of character. Quite definitely he would disapprove of these "bull in the china shop" tactics. My training as a Princess of the Kingdom came to the fore then, and without a trace of aggressivity, and full of love and wonderment, I once again approached "Little Flame". This time she did not falter but, meeting my steady gaze, smiled as she came softly forward, glowing and pulsating with a myriad of light streams. We came very close and stood for some time eye to eye, exchanging emotions. "Fear not, I am yet another manifestation of your same Daddy Cave, even though I am less of an illusion to help your understanding. As He was enthroned in your heart, now is My time to come into your being, bringing with Myself infinite awareness and unlimited consciousness." "Dear Madam, I think you are exquisite. But illusion or not, I cannot stay. I shall find Daddy Cave wherever He may be, regardless of how long or complex the search." "Well spoken, my child. Of course we will find him together. I AM the principle of magnetic attraction now coming to dwell in the Cave of Mind. The fact that we are together means you have travelled very far along the way. For I represent the very highest component of consciousness, no longer separated by a veil. Let our flames of desire mingle, for we are One." "When I 'came to' at Madoc, some faint remnant of Winifred were still pouting. With the help of Little Flame, I, Sasoleah, took the necessary steps to erase the obstructive element of egotistical appropriation, and once again peace reigned in the triad of consciousness. "In the transformation of consciousness from mortal to Divine, at every step along the way I was awestruck at the cognitive consistency which rapidly ensued as one outdated element would be removed and a progressive element introduced. This gratitude is directed primarily towards Loliad-R-Kahn, the masterful Teacher- Tone which enabled me to overcome all kinds of preconceptions concerning the nature of God and Its manner of expression. "Now I fully understand that the god essence of which I speak is molded by the vessel of Winifred's consciousness through which it flows, even as Loliad was a personality, quite real in that he also had passed through the schoolroom of mortality. But later, as a purified vessel, Loliad was an aspect of God personified, an identity garment, in exactly the same way that Winifred had become an identity garment for Myself." When Adam and Eve gained the power of free will and separate identity, they began, like most children to ignore parental advice and experiment with independence. Thus began the long descent from grace, away from spiritual humility to self-centred ways. Then, as the tribes of Israel began to cover the face of the earth, each making its own set of rules of conduct, the sins or blessings of the fathers became superimposed on the children (yes, even down to the DNA memory factor) and will continue to be until the present Alpha-Omega cycle reaches completion. During the period when intelligent spiritual energy is coalescing in the womb, its throbbing love-vibe is subjected to various maternal modifications. The child can only learn to deal with life according to the programming received from the parents, particularly, in the early stages, from its mother. From the moment of birth the infant responds to the modus operandi presented. If mother is relaxed, happy, positive, the baby soon learns to smile back. Yet far more significant is the mother's underlying attitude, her inner way of being, even though this may never be voiced or externalized. This esoteric vibration is constantly beaming out from her aura to the child long before words have any meaning. If she feels secure, cherished, adequate, god-oriented, these vibes will form the basis for the child's future way of being. Insecurity, inadequacy, self-centred attitudes will manifest similarly. If the child is really not wanted and the mother doesn't pay it much attention, then this little child, throughout its entire life, will go around saying "Hi, here I am. Notice me. Oh, please pay attention to me", as an underlying note in whatever else it may be doing. This is why I AM - Institute of Applied Metaphysics, has been instructed to teach students how to get back to these first few months of life to examine and, if necessary, correct unsuccessful modus operandi. Prior to this exercise a person is "born to win" or "born to lose" in physical life because of factors which no external circumstance may alter. A good illustration of this point is the doomed-to-failure efforts of society to increase the living standards of "the poor," who have never been shown how to use life energy efficiently. An essential prerequisite to success in these endeavour is to reprogram an inadequate modus operandi. Without this all the financial benefits in the world will not permanently improve the lot of such victims. However, as one gets deeper and deeper into self-exploration it becomes evident that all men are the puppets of programmed reaction. True, some methods of interaction may bring higher degrees of success in worldly affairs. But what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet lose his soul?
The embryonic god, needing to give and receive love in an acceptable way soon learns to conform to social pressures. In a society or a household where little or no value is placed on the inner wealth of esoteric discernment, but rather on external goals such as status, security, monetary gains, competition, a child gets no positive reinforcement to pursue spiritual goals. High moral and ethical principles, as given to Moses and later as taught in The Sermon on the Mount, are low in attention priorities. In neglecting to emphasize, by word and action, that these are key tenets to successful living, the parents automatically profess adherence to "other gods" when the law of life clearly states THOU SHALT HAVE NONE OTHER GODS BEFORE ME! Nevertheless I AM exceedingly merciful. Mercy is quite different from leniency. Mercy abounds when man, remorseful of past error, decides to change his ways. Though his programming is a mess and scarlet sins blot life's copy book, there is no need for despair. There is still time for those of passionate desire to repent of misused energy and find eternal life. Sasoleah was trained in administering these techniques many years ago. The single greatest cause of lost souls is inertia, or apathy. It is an attitude towards life of not spending much energy on anything. Making no investment brings no return, as explained in the parable of the three talents. The only person who cannot be helped is he who, after showing some initial spark of interest in pursuing spiritual goals, soon becomes complacent. In essence, the battle is waged on the fuel of desire -desire for worldly goals, desire for spiritual goals. Better to have any kind of desire than no desire at all. If desire is present, three personality components govern the success or failure of the princeling's earth mission.
Picture now our embryonic god, injected into matter, armed with a blueprint for perfection and synchronized vibration with Source. See the spirit spark, eager to woo and wed identity, accepting its path of destiny in the dimension of substance and form. Imagine the shock this tender conglomerate of energetic molecules must experience when ejected from the warm womb into the harsh light, sound, odour, temperature and touch of physical reality. Enter desire - the desire to live, to experience, to pass life along to others. In metaphysical terms, the instincts of Survival, Sensation and Sex now take control of the organism. For Myself, all these desires were consolidated within a few hours of My arrival, when mother's breast presented a warm invitation. It was round, soft, of subtle odour; I felt the nipple hard against my virgin tongue, flowing with milk and honey. But the physical sensations were dim in comparison to the waves of love and tenderness which enveloped My whole being as I snuggled close to the strange yet familiar aura of Mother. Oh, My Father! How I thank Thee for senses and sensations, and instincts through which to express the joy of living. Life is not always that simple. Not all physical parents understand love, and so are unable to give. The initial passionate connection is less intense, the desire link less well defined. Yet standing there in the wings, like some kind fairy godmother, is Ego, Nature's insurance agent. It hovers anxiously, warm, protective, devoted, ready to cushion life's blows and guard its charge from all unfavourable circumstances. So begins a lifelong companionship valid "until death do us part." The harsher the youthful environment, the closer the bond. Ego is like a goldfish bowl placed over a child's head. It is through this protective covering, paper thin or armour plated, according to need, that the child will experience the outside world. All sense reception thenceforth is distorted to conform with egotistical interpretation of fact. However, the identity has a second source of assistance - a special angel-guide who keeps contact through the psyche, or sixth sense. It is a source of input on a vibratory scale beyond egotistical interference; an inner power; a cosmic connection; a promise of access to an esoteric life quite separate from the existential point of view. A careful study of dream analysis makes this abundantly clear. It is like the story of the aging philosopher who dreamed he was a butterfly frolicking in the sun and dipping into the nectar of dew drenched blossoms. On awakening to the harsh external reality of his frugal life he ponders: which is reality? Perhaps I really am a butterfly dreaming I am a man. Certainly the newborn infant spends most of its time sleeping and dreaming while adjusting to the harshness of existential life. At this time there is no separation between esoteric and exoteric focus. Then the curtain of consciousness gradually closes - a filmy veil at first, which slowly solidifies into an iron curtain of separate existence. Life's play begins as the identity strives for balance and expression in the school of life. Identity can be considered as the cup of consciousness into which the formless psyche may gather a full harvest of earth experience. In order to coax the organism to indepth exploration, the identity cup comes equipped with three basic instinctual drives, like three indentations in the bottom of the cup which must be filled. These are the needs of SURVIVAL, SENSATION, and SEX. These instincts are designed to focus desire with maximum intensity.
This Yin-Yang factor, when properly co-ordinated, creates a fine dynamic tension. A balanced blend of exoteric-esoteric activity determines the charisma, or inner power of the adult individual. During the years of growing up, identity coffers are filled according to need and intensity of desire. Although defined separately, the key elements of survival, sensation and sex are all aspects of a single instinct. Suppression of one direct outlet invariably allows greater energy flow through other channels. These manifest differently at succeeding stages in life. Mother's breast is the cornerstone or anchor of identity. It is the secure base from which to start progressive outreaches of balanced exploration. It is the child's initial instrument of survival, sensation and sexual identification as a beloved son. All future identification is based on this initial experience. This kind of passionate acceptance negates the erection of protective barriers. The child and parent commence an open relationship with mutual trust and recognition. The flow begins. Maternal acceptance makes it easy to train the child in the right ways of conduct. Parents who fluctuate between acceptance if the child is "good" and rejection if the child is "naughty", create deep insecurities which make for an anxious dependent adult, always eager to please. Many adolescents will go along with peer attitudes, even if it means getting into all sorts of mischief, just to be "one of the gang." Positive reinforcement when the child pleases is much better than the heavy "no-no" attitude so popular in well intentioned disciplines. If more attention is gained by naughtiness than by steady performance, a child will quickly learn to get its special attention one way or another. Attention is the only substitute for acceptance that ego understands. This makes for a "closed" personality, hesitant to trust others or give freely of itself. In such a child the giving of affection is governed closely by the dictates of like and dislike, and an unconscious estimate on the probable return of an investment of self. A positive upbringing builds a strong identity, ensuring that ego is relegated to the status of servant rather than master. With little acceptance or positive reinforcement, ego weaves a spider web of protection around sensitive areas. This shows as a cloudy circular pattern in the aura rather than a clear, sharp, vigorous inward-outward swing of Yin-Yang activity towards exoteric and esoteric exploration. If ego is called upon to become a surrogate mother, unless intervention occurs in the form of an acceptant father, grandparent, sibling or such, ego will become all things to its young charge. Together they will live in their own separate world, built largely on illusionary desire. This is not necessarily unpleasant. Ego makes a fine servant during this period by helpfully selecting useful experiences. It throws itself wholeheartedly into the illusion of being a separate entity. It both provides and wards off many threatening situations. It makes life more colourful by magnifying or minimizing events. It accumulates data in like and dislike files for a lifelong reference system. This activity goes on in all children, more or less according to the degree of egotistical dependence. Ice cubes are only separate entities if they remain fixed in a frozen state. Warm'em up a little and they flow together as one. The only difference between this example and mankind is that the magnetic core (ice cube) of human identity can recapture the time when it lived as a separate form, and was molded by a unique series of events such as no other person ever experienced. Thus the illusion of separation which overshadows a man's earth- time is false in the eternal sense and doomed to exposure upon serious investigation. Ego implies man is a thought apart, a separate being. It proposes a choice of options which do not exist. If it succeeds in feeding the illusion, the identity ends up in the separateness of hell, there to remain with its surrogate mother-father-friend-lover until time is no more. With every successful repeat of a separative modus operandi the identity becomes snarled in a tangled web of confusion. The cognitive consistency of purposeful living which results from the increasing momentum of the ever expanding in-out Yin-Yang swing of esoteric-exoteric alignment is lost. Like a thirsty man wandering in the desert, it is as if the identity begins going round and round in circles, always coming back to the same place and getting nowhere. These ever tightening circles bind all free thought to the endlessly repetitive wheel of addictive response to ego-dominated like-dislike patterns. Hence the expression - "there is no rest for the wicked". Because of its ultimately impossible position, ego strives to appropriate and imitate the true emotional expressions of the psyche. While ego controls the emotional mechanism any understanding of love or truth is impossible. Although it constantly promises new diversions which will deliver happiness and fulfilment, ego has no capacity to deliver. True, a momentary sensation of pleasure follows self-gratification in any area. But we are speaking of deep lasting joy and permanent growing satisfaction with cognitive consistency in every aspect of life. To tighten its grip ego's "likes" masquerade as needs that must be satisfied. These simply lead from one illusion to the next, forming a bondage of addiction, which soon makes the identity a slave to egotistical demands on how life energy should be spent. An addiction exists when ego causes an emotional reaction for not having its way or when the outside world does not conform to inner expectations. In childhood, a child might say "I want ice cream". If mother says "yes" that's fine. But after a few repeats of this demand for a "like" item, should mother say "no" a tantrum ensues. The addiction file is started. Mother, in this case is represented as the oppressor, ego the friend. Because ego believes in separation - me-you, mine-thine, - it instinctively feels that it needs power to control and manipulate others if it is to be successful in its endeavour. Exaggerated threat reactions result whenever things don't go its way or when an addiction cannot be satiated. It is only when one glimpses the pattern from the clear perception of higher consciousness that the tangle becomes evident. The psyche speaks to the identity of the togetherness of all things, the equal right to life of all people, the love thy neighbour as thyself concept (which is the only possible way in which there can be plenty for all). Only when the pattern of addictive thought is broken is the identity free to perceive clearly the real conditions of life. This means having self-acceptance in the here and now. In taking the path of love, truth and wisdom, the identity is able to free itself of egotistical dominance and find its true potential as embryonic god. The truth shall make you free - free of addictive chains of programmed habits, free to be whole and in atonement with cosmic consciousness, free of the law of sin and death. The last great lie to be unmasked is the illusion of sin and death which Adam invoked when free will was misapplied. My Law is the law of love and of eternal life; return to the unique perfect matrix waiting for you alone; alignment with your god-self; atonement. This is the power of the correct use of life energy. As yet man has only the vaguest idea of what life is all about. Try now to accept the possibilities. One attribute of the relatively perfected life is the retention of the physical body in strength and vigour for as long as the identity pleases. One also acquires ever increasing brilliancy and clarity of thought, enough to bring success to any worthwhile undertaking. The arterial expansion factor allows an ever increasing volume of life energy to be transformed into creatively. The spirit was like a one watt light bulb shining through the globe of personality. The original twofold exercise presented to Winifred was to increase the wattage of the spirit while trying to erase erroneous markings from the personality globe. I AM, Institute of Applied Metaphysics, in its infancy could aptly be described as, "A blind man in a dark room, looking for a black cat - which isn't there," as Charles Bowen put it. But gradually the wattage builds to a five, ten, hundred, thousand watt element, which spotlights more and more areas of error to be erased. And so begins the spiral ascent of the person who learns to use life energy wisely. Planet earth's evolution can be described the same way. In man's early beginnings few men could cope with too much spiritual wattage. This had to be built up gradually over the ages. Those who showed promise in the one watt age went on to populate the five watt age. Extra wattage was granted to all who had extraordinary use in their previous assignment. Although the perfect matrix is yours for the conquering of obstacles, this only represents the globe or lampshade which awaits in your heaven. The wattage which goes into this globe is entirely a matter of passion, strength of desire with which the mountain top of consciousness has been scaled, and life energy force deployed in getting there. These latter days are to the spiritual seeker what the gold rush was to the pioneers. The territory is up for grabs. Stake your claim. Take all the life energy wattage you can rightly use. You live in an age when man has the capacity to become a spiritual giant, a beacon, an heir to the Kingdom, in my house of many mansions. Happiness comes when cognitive consistency has been established between the lower and higher thought wavelengths. Identity is no longer torn between two lovers. Differences have been resolved, all personality components dance together in harmonious rhythm. Prior to this internal-external alignment, most people assume that to follow their personal desires will lead to happiness. These are usually goals of status, sex, pleasure, money, security, acceptance, power - all kinds of self-gratification addictions. With the right use of life energy, Love, Happiness and Flow are automatically co-incidental. Until he can learn to love both himself and others, man is ruled by wants and desires which ego proposes as suitable substitutes for love. The Hindu idea of renunciation of all physical desires is a good way for the average over-indulged North American student to begin the task of eradicating addictions. Silence, fasting, dream analysis, written and spoken regurgitation of programmed material, and meditation are some of the most effective ways of dealing with the initial onslaught of egotistical dominance. Rarely is a person consciously aware of the source of his motivational drive, for they lie deep under the accumulated debris of years of misspent energy. It is usually only after many months of self-examination in a secluded environment that deeper motivations are revealed. Why the secluded environment? Every repeat of an addiction or particular modus operandi reinforces the pattern on unconscious levels of the mind. In normal daily life, one may be addicted to turning on the radio, reading the newspaper, drinking coffee, smoking, familiar thought patterns, eating foods with flavour- enhancing additives, ingesting all kinds of negative thoughts from the environment, perhaps watching T.V., driving one's car, wearing makeup, bathing, etc. Addictions are false energy expenditures masquerading as needs, backed by emotional demands which cause adverse reactions if they are not promptly fulfilled. The bathing and shaving addiction becomes obvious when the water supply is cut off - what a clamour when a few bodies have to go dirty for a couple of days! A small sample of what souls have to experience! Acceptance of the here and now permits no enervating addictive energy expenditure. Certainly one would prefer to bathe and shave. But it is futile to waste energy in anxiety or vexation. A preference is something more desirable, for which one may have a greater liking, but if it is not fulfilled, there is no adverse reaction. The Hindu sage would put it this way:
Until a man emotionally understands the togetherness of all things, he is without love. Incorrect use of life energy very often causes a man to perceive the people around as threatening. It is as if he is surrounded by a sea of separate entities, each striving to gain their own ends, at cost to others. Ego's goal is to make sure he gains in any exchange and gives nothing away for free. In this sense labour perceives management as a threat to a better way of life. Ireland's Protestants and Catholics perceive their fellow countrymen as a threat. Some Quebecers see the English language ocean all around as a threat. Dark skinned people might perceive light skinned people as a threat. For the separative-oriented ego, this attitude is justified. Believing others to be basically as grasping as itself, it believes that people, for the most part, are out to serve their own ends without concern for the rights of others. But the energy expenditure required to maintain the home front in the midst of constant threat is exhausting. Anxiety, jealousy, fear, frustration, boredom, cynicism, anger, paranoia - all represent separative thought patterns, and addiction to the illusion that it is you and ego against the world. I AM portrayed as powerless in this daily drama - a remote, unconcerned Deity, unaware even when two sparrows fall to the ground. An understanding of love and happiness calls for a rearrangement of priorities: identification with the inner god-self, all powerful once enthroned in the identity; and a sense of atonement, unity with all life, in both its broadest and most microscopic manifestation. By gaining this clear perception of true values, people and situations can no longer be perceived as threatening but more as interesting teaching aids along the road to graduation. Pause for a moment to think of the most threatening situation you have experienced this week. Are world conditions getting you down? Is the new boss hard to get along with? Is your marriage not quite up to par? Is your rent going up? Your child sick? Your lover straying? Has drought hit your region? First decide if there are any practical steps you can take to remedy the situation with right use of energy. If so, fine, do it. But do not let the computer start on a trend of worry and anxiety which only results in drained energy. All these conditions are part of life's journey, designed to keep your focus of attention on exoteric planes. Without the ups and downs of the soap opera drama of the lower self, what would life be all about? Negative emotional reactions are quite futile and simply lower your effectiveness to deal with the situation. They represent the lowest scale of available human thought patterns. Learning to control these thought patterns is a key aspect in developing a wider range of conscious awareness. Thoughts are real. After all the illusion has passed away you are what you think. To "war with the Power of Darkness" simply means to deny the egotistical lie of separation. As a particular part of My body you are without equal. No other being in the Universe has exactly the same blueprint of perfection. No one else can equal or surpass your capacity when brought to its ultimate fulfilment. If you follow the paths laid down with diligence, you will in time command the world of your own mind. While others may compel your admiration, there is no need to abase yourself as a consequence. Perfection is attained through constant thought control. The identity can no longer submit to ego dominance but must challenge each false thought at its point of origin. This is yet another reason for cloistered environs while the personal battle rages. In essence man is a thought body. Every time a new thought is added to his consciousness, the whole frame of intellectual reference must be changed to accommodate this new idea. This often means re-examining and displacing former beliefs in order that the new person might have cognitive consistency. A man can literally become a new person -- born again. The speed of transition is governed by the rate at which one can discard useless or unnecessary thoughts and replace them with new, constructive thought patterns geared to the right use of life energy. The more support and reinforcement offered by the environment the better it is. Under normal home circumstances the seeker is beset with a host of unseen adversaries, in the form of thoughts unconsciously emitted by people around him. Immature, negative, envious, cynical thoughts call for a wearisome day of turning the other cheek. So much energy is spent just keeping cheerful and positive in such circumstances that it's very hard to make any real progress. The soap opera drama of friends and relatives continues unabated. The seeker is often compelled to ingest thoughts of sickness, avarice, gloom and discouragement, just going out to earn a living. This makes it all the more difficult to understand a law which projects that we must be, in body and mind, that which we think. Ideally it is best to finish up one's earthly affairs, and save enough to enter a transformation centre for as long a time as it takes to complete the transition. The descent cycle is completed and the ascent cycle begins in earnest when basic identity needs have been filled. Having savoured the multi-faceted attractions of physical life with keen appreciation for every beautiful detail, the young person is ready for a real identity crisis. Is life henceforth to be more of the same? An endless pursuit of security, sensation and sex? A ceaseless struggle to maintain ego addictions? Or is there something else? The person who has learned to expend large amounts of energy in the positive pursuit of wide ranging physical goals now becomes a prime candidate for the ultimate quest - the inner voyage, the search for his own god-self, the unfoldment of his life plan, and eventual role in the scheme of cosmic destiny. As with all worthwhile endeavour, the capacity to understand and reciprocate My Love comes gradually at first. In all probability the novice must first overcome some deep underlying fear that I AM a "Big Stick God", bent on bringing Creation to its knees to prove My own Omnipotence. Nothing could be further from the truth. Too much too soon simply invites egotistical appropriation which overwhelms the novice. To unravel all the mysteries of the Universe at once for the untutored mind would be to convey super- human power before super-human understanding has been attained. Pow! goes the light bulb. A disaster for all! With gradual unfoldment of the consciousness, as with the petals of a rose, each stage, each moment, can be fully appreciated to the lasting satisfaction of the spiritual pilgrim. Release from illusion begins when I replace ego in the identity's scale of values. The first stage in the transference process begins with an understanding of the protected towards the protector, similar to the early Judaic belief of a Masterful War Lord Jehovah - mighty in battle, invincible in adversity, requiring instant obedience even to commands contrary to the dictates of existential logic. Obedience keeps pilgrims on the straight path. It helps avoid needless complications of intellectual sophistry met along the way. It can circumvent many pitfalls and errors of ignorance, for intelligence is an unreliable guide to truth when operating in any way under the influence of egotistical illusion. It sets a tone of spiritual humility which will deepen daily when new heights of understanding are being scaled. It defies egotistical appropriation. Once spiritual humility has been established, a new vibration is introduced into our relationship. The pilgrim begins to understand that I created the Universe for joy, to be a place of perfect happiness for all which dwell therein. See Me now as Father-Mother God, building a home of many-dimensional mansions in preparation for My family. Like all true parents I want to give each offspring a royal heritage. Jesus, the first offspring of the Divine Yin-Yang union, was sent forth from Our cosmic home to show the way back for each young son and daughter of heaven, to upgrade the Judaic-Jehovah concept to the consciousness of God the Father. Because the collective unconscious of the human race has absorbed this concept during the past 2,000 years, today's spiritual pilgrim has an easier path to follow. The emotional understanding of being a little child, princeling of the Royal Household, releases waves of innocent delight which flood the playground of consciousness with joy and wonderment. Place your burdens upon Me, I invite My Children. Put aside the cares which deprive you of the joy of realization that all is in My Hands. Know that you are the inheritors of two worlds - the one within and the one without. Talk with Me as you would a wise earthly mother or father. Come claim your inheritance. When a close rapport has been established at this level of unfoldment, the childlike soul begins to have a sense of growing up. This leads into a stage of companionship, such as a son might feel when Dad takes him camping, or a daughter when she goes shopping with mother. Father-Mother God is always there to help out when needed, but not in an obtrusive way. It is the type of relationship developing metaphysicians have with their personal guides, a sense that one is never alone, that this deep abiding companionship is based on having a common cause in life. Next, as the spiritual maturation process unfolds the positions are reversed. Somehow I become the child and you the parent. All the original protective emotions experienced are now returned. It is similar to the emotion a Christian may feel at Christmas time as the carillon peels "Away in a Manager" and adoration of the Christ child fills his heart. The exploration of reciprocity of Love culminates in the mystical marriages described by many saintly men and women over the ages. The uncluttered consciousness experiences the realization that we are one - and that within this relationship is the heaven that every spirit strives for. As William James describes it,
Another beautiful description, by William Bucke: "All at once, without warning of any kind, I found myself wrapped in a flame-coloured cloud. For an instant I thought of fire, an immense conflagration somewhere close by in that great city: the next, I knew that the fire was within myself. Directly afterward there came upon me a sense of exultation, of immense joyousness accompanied or immediately followed by an intellectual illumination impossible to describe. Among other things, I did not merely come to believe, but I saw that the universe is not composed of dead matter, but is, on the contrary, a living Presence: I became conscious in my-self of eternal life. It was not a conviction that I would have eternal life, but a consciousness that I possessed eternal life then; I saw that all men are immortal: that the cosmic order is such that without any peradventure all things work together for the good of each and all; that the foundation principle of the world of all worlds, is what we call love, and that the happiness of each and all is in the long run absolutely certain. The vision lasted a few seconds and was gone: but the memory of it and the sense of the reality of what it taught has remained during the quarter of a century which has since elapsed." |
